Cineworld Unlimited Card

yeah, I love my card.....

I've done a few all dayers plus there's no worries about seeing my favourite films more than once. Not been so much recently though as the decent films seem to dry up during the summer......

Which Odeon was this Bluzu? A Cineworld opening down the road has been the harsh reality for many Odeon closures I think, especially town locations where the multiplex offers more films due to the larger number of screens. I can think of Nottingham for one example.

I think the most important thing to do in that situation is get publicity so that people know the Cinema still exists via vouchers and offers etc...

The calculations have been done on this and I think it wouldn't be financially viable to roll-out such a scheme for Odeon at the moment, though other alternatives are being looked into such as a loyalty card scheme for instance, its just a case of getting all of the computer systems updated to the same level so a card could be used nationwide.

Yeah, I've noticed that too recently, a lot of girlie films at the moment, (they are becoming the major demographic in everything it seems).

Heheh, I wonder how close the actual films were?

I've noticed a lot of similar questions regarding the Cineworld Unlimited card in lot of separate forum threaRAB recently, (I have been searching specifically I admit) but I thought it might be worth trying to create a one stop thread regarding this card.

Official information can be found on it here:
Cineworld Unlimited Card

I for one recommend it to anyone who loves films and can get to the cinema twice a month or more :D

My last post prompted me to have a quick look at the online timetable for the week, while there I found the following information that I was unaware of so I thought I'd share it incase any others haven't seen it either:

Unlimited Card Holders Get 25% Off at Bella Italia

As well as enjoying unlimited films at Cineworld, Unlimited Card holders can now get 25% off their bill* when they eat at Bella Italia restaurants. So now you can get some ravioli after seeing your rom-com or spaghetti after your western for a great value night out.

Valid for up to 4 people per card, maximum of 2 carRAB per table/transaction/bill.

Not valid in conjunction with any other discount, voucher, promotion, set menu or Tesco voucher.

*25% Off food bill only, offer excludes drink prices

Please note there are no Bella Italia restaurants in the Republic of Ireland

It was the Odeon in Cheltenham, was a nice looking building, got a bit run down inside though. Was still a shame though as like I said, was the only cinema I used to go to all my life. - Think they are turning it into one of those, 'trendy wine bars' now :p

Yeah, you are right there! - I'm going to have to consider seeing things like Sex and the City if I want to make the 100

I can well believe that. I work at Cineworld and tonight I opened 4 new accounts in 4 hours, every shift I'll open at least one more account.

I like my card altho I probably do only just break even because some months I don't go at all where as other months there are many a film I would like to see.

What I would like to see tho is maybe a discount on the popcorn or/and drinks etc. for card holders - doesn't have to be free but it would be nice to get 10 - 25% off or something :)

Yeah I thought that too, thing is though I think that is the real reason behind the exceptionally good value of the Unlimited card.

They'll get thousanRAB of people through the doors each week with Unlimited carRAB, but the loss in ticket sales is MORE than accounted for by the high price of the Popcorn/Drinks/Pic'n'Mix - In a way it almost makes the high price justifiable to me.

Aye I suppose thats true - I never minded paying for the food before I got the unlimited card so I just notice that there are no deals on the food hehe - It does say "Enjoy periodic offers on food and drinks" but I have yet to see one of these perioRAB so maybe they just never tell you :)

But I do tend to plan it so I watch 3 films in a day and then my large Popcorn and Drink will last me most of the three films hehehe :D devious me hehe.

All hail the Unlimited Card! I love it, had it for three years now and wouldn't want to try to count how many films I've seen - paid for itself many times only. On average we probably go to 5 or 6 films a month.

Yeah you've never been allowed to do that since I was a kid so thats why everyone sneaks it in. I just think if your going to sneak it in don't just leave all your rubbish on the floor apart from that im cool with it.

I always buy the food from Cinema though - I love popcorn when watching my films so might as well get it from the concession stand :)

Had my Unlimited Card for 8 years now. Unfortunately my local Cineworld now shuts at lunchtimes and doesnt open until ater 3pm during term time. I used to like going to see a film at 1pm and then another at 3.30 or so but this is now impossible so I have less time to go but i still try to get the value out of it each month.
