Hi,
I have had chronic tailbone pain for going on two years. There really doesn't seem to be a pattern of "this makes it worse, this makes it better." At times it is manageable and at times it is disabling. I have tried long term anti-inflamitories. Doesn't help. Vicodan barely takes the edge off. The physical therapist doesn't think she can help because the pain is so random. I am a breast cancer survivor but my breast cancer was not invasive. A petscan ruled out bone cancer but revealed that I do have a tumor (almost 7cm) abutting my left kidney which has been diagnosed as renal cell carcinoma. Surgery forthcoming. I really don't think they are related but who knows. Any experiences with chronic tailbone pain would be appreciated. It just doesn't seem right and I guess I'd like to know what's next.
Thank you,
Linda
