Chest pain

After several weeks of intermittent pain in my right side and back my doctor refered me for a scan, checking for gall stones, this has resulted in an all clear. My pain reminds me of breaking ribs in an accident or very bad wind, any ideas please!

Is there anything that makes the pain better or worse? Breathing in or out, certain foods, time frame after meals? What kind of scan did they do for stones? Was it an ulrasound, CT, or something else?

There doesn't seem to be any trigger at all, nothing seems to conect and because I seem to be in constant pain food is the last thing I think of.
I had an Ultra Scan.

I would start to chart when you have pain, and events leading up to it as soon as the pain onsets. You may even start charting food intake and your temperature as well.

Pain in the right upper quadrant referring to the right side back can be a few different things. Gall bladder stones, disease or sludge, many lung issues, chest wall, CHF, musculoskeletal, etc. So the more information you can provide the doctor about symptoms, events, and overall wellness will help them greatly.

Are there any respiratory symptoms? Does the pain get better or worse when breathing deep? Cough? Can you move and make the pain better or worse? Lying down, sitting, standing?
