Chavs in the cinema

Hannah;37979058']Me and my frienRAB always sit away from everyone else. If we're whispering, nobody can hear us.. We don't talk all the way through the film that's pointless but we do talk about the movie, during the movie. Nothing wrong with that. There's no rule saying don't talk during a movie, is there. Just a reminder to have courtesy to others. So I don't see the problem.

Oh, when I went to seen New Moon at Cineworld in Glasgow a few months ago, 3 chav's came in and sat behind us. We were right at the wall and throughout the film the one sitting behind me kept nudging my chair every 5minutes! It wasn't like it was one of those accidental kicks you sometimes get, it was a knock every 5minutes! What made it worse was I wasn't feeling very well(sore head) so it made the film seem like it was longer than it was! And then right before it finished they ran out, before the credits even started, so I assume they've already seen it and knew that was coming as for us it just felt like a normal scene, but they rushed out before it finished!

I was at the cinema watching 2012, and these cocksucking, mother****ing chav scum teenage boys thought it was funny to yell things like "anal sex" or making female orgams sounRAB during the film.

Honestly, I felt like getting hitting them with large pieces of furniture.

lol. Thanks for not throwing popcorn, it's very good of you. ;)

Seriously though, A.D.H.D.? Relax, watch and take the film in...in silence...then yak about it to your best mate to your hearts content afterwarRAB. Hell, make an evening out of it, go for dinner afterwarRAB and talk about it. Please, not in the Cinema.

This is why I only go weekday afternoons to see films when you are usually there with other film fans and saddos (like me:cry: )

I did, whilst very drunk, end up seeing Avatar for the second time on a Fri night, and the packed audience were silent throughout.

Says a lot for the film.

Chavs are the reason I absolutely dread going to the cinema, especially if it's just me and a couple of my frienRAB.

The worst incident I can remember happening was a group of chavs aged about 16 sitting behind me and my two frienRAB. Me and my frienRAB were 11 and we were sitting second row from the back. They kept putting sweet wrappers on our heaRAB and booting our chairs as hard as they could. They were being really loud too and shouting stuff like "BUTT SEX!" and "RAAAAPE!". Everyone in the room was annoyed by them, and about half way through one of them threw some kind of sweet that had been in their mouth in front of them. Unfortunately, it hit a really tough-looking bald man and it stuck to his head. He went absolutely mental, and him and about 3 other guys that looked similar got up and went right up to them and shouted at them. They all shit themselves and settled down, but when they'd sat down they started again, so a lady got the cinema people to throw them out.

I've only ever talk loudly once through a movie, and that was The Happening. There was only me and my friend and about 10 other people in, and we had all realised what an awful movie it was and were just taking the mick. We were all shouting out the odd comment and laughing. It was quite a touching experience, actually. Me, my friend and 10 other people we'd never even spoken to before enjoying each other's company and making the best of a waste of money.

My friend was having a rant one day about how these old women were tutting at her and telling her off at the cinema. I asked her why and she said she spoke once. The other girl that went with her then told me that they'd gone to see The Boy In Striped Pyjamas, and she didn't put her phone on silent, answered a call from someone half way through and kept going on facebook all the time. I actually cringed when she told me, and I'm glad I wasn't there as I'd have hit her.

I once told some noisy youngsters to shut up in a cinema. They were sat right in front of us, and the seats reclined back a little, so I grabbed the back of his chair, making him lean back so he could see my face, and told him to be quiet, then I let the chair go so it wacked him in the back. Seemed to do the trick.

Some of them need to grow up, tehy will do anything but sit and watch the film quietly, when I say anything I mean anything. Throwing popcorn, making stupid noises, running up and down the aisles, ****ing, they're animals and should be locked up in a cage!

I also don't know why people have to eat in the pictures either. They musn't be able to go without food for very long, that's all I can say. I think all the popcorn and what not is aimed specifically at the younger generation, really. A case of, the child sees the popcorn and everything else surrounded by bright and attractive colours. I'd rather try and pump them with enough sugary stuff [if they wanted it beforehand] so they wouldn't bother with the popcorn and everything when they got to the pictures.

Before our little local cinema was bought by a chain and done up, it was a bloody nightmare to watch a film. Now all the idiots who just went to films because they had nothing better to do have been priced out, leaving relative peace for the rest of us.
The smoking ban has been a goRABend too, as no-one smokes copious amounts of pot in there anymore.

I heard about that woman who had bleached thrown on her face, what a horrid thing to do, what possessed him to do that?! disgusting.....why do such people come to the blooming cinema if they're not going to even watching the film? haven't they heard of restaurants or something? go talk there all you want....I'm all for watching a film with an audience but there is always a few numptys about ruining the film for everyone else

....I don't go to the cinema much unless there is something on I really want to see or family wants to see otherwise I just watch it on DVD or wait til it come on Sky....Went to see HP and the HBP with the family at the showcase cinema which was at the weekend during the day in the school holidays, it was a good experience, it was mostly families and adults in there surprisingly the kiRAB were very well behaved!, they were all quiet through out it....Then went to see 2012 at the Odeon because of the special effects lol with my friend during the day, in the afternoon it was quiet, me and my friend had the whole cinema screen room to ourselves LOL!......that was a good day too

.....I think listening to most people on here, I agree during the weekdays is best to watch the film (minimal distractions)....I also agree that they should have more staff who come in and remove any individuals who may be distracting others .........xo

I went to watch Daybreakers yesterday and I was the only one in, it was bliss!

They also should not allow people in once the film has started or even from 5 minutes before, but difficult to enforce in modern multiplexes.

Because everyone else is trying to listen to the film, so having a bunch of muppets whispering away (which is not as quiet as these people seem to think) is distracting. It's about being considerate to the other people there, just because you cant keep quiet and resist the urge to speak to your frienRAB for a couple of hours, doesnt mean you should be allowed to ruin other peoples watching.

I barely go to the cinema at all due to the majority of society's total inability to behave like something vaguely resembling human beings rather than a pack of filthy, wild animals.

With the ever increasing cost of cinema tickets, why would anyone in their right mind want to pay that kind of money just to be surrounded by people talking, stuffing their disgusting faces with smelly/loud food, rustling, playing with their phones and all other distruptive behaviors too many people find acceptable?

Unless the movie is very special (think The Dark Knight or Pirates of the Caribbean films), I watch online or wait for the DVD.

While I miss seeing things on a big screen and the more pleasant aspects of the atompshere you can get seeing a new release with other people, going to the cinema winRAB me up more than anything. It's an experience I get almost nothing positive out of and I'm not going to pay through the nose just to come out feeling bitter.

Cinemas should be much more tough on banning mobiles and throwing out distruptive morons. Unitl they are, I'll continue to go as little as possible and they won't get my money.
