Chavs in the cinema

Chavs should have thier own cinemas....perhaps ones in which the seats are hooked up to a 4000 volt battery...

I dont know why you are so defensive of the smelly little dole huffers to be honest.
 
Agree with the OP... chavs have put me off going to the cinema for years.

Personally, I can't think of anywhere worse now to see a film than in a cinema. Why would anybody want to sit in an uncomfortable chair in a big room with 500 other people to see a film? Most films are terrible nowadays anyway, but if there is something I want to see, I wait til it comes out on DVD and then I can relax on my own sofa and watch it in peace and quiet.

I fly a lot so I find I get to see most of what I want to see onboard aeroplanes anyway.:)
 
I must be lucky, for I've never experienced anything like this in the cinema. I guess maybe cause the cinema I go to is a cinema de lux (more expensive) and I generally don't go on Wednesdays, I manage to avoid these things.
 
My own opinion is that it's a little bit of both. Some people obviously enjoy the social aspect of it - going out to the cinema & watching the film in a packed cinema, whereas others are purely there for the "big screen" experience. Personally I only ever go to the cinema when there's a film I know just neeRAB to be seen on a big screen, so I'm in the latter category. I too find that if I watch a film in the evening or mid afternoon on a weekend it's always ruined by some chavvy creting or other so I make a point of going at unsociable hours, either to the early morning screening or as late as humanly possible. You tend to watch the film with one or two likeminded sociopaths then! :D
 
Slightly off topic - I've had people having a go at me aswell for no reason. During Night at the Museum 2 i've been quiet throughout the film the person who i went with hasn't been talking we haven't touch the chairs of the people infront of us and when i get up to go to the loo i slightly and accidently touched one of the people infront chairs and they turned around and said (not in a whisper just a normal speaking voice loud enough for other people to hear) 'you have been irrating me and my wife and my kiRAB throughout this entire movie and constantly kicking the back of our chairs and we have paid good money to watch this movie now shut up' so i just looked at him as said 'alllriiiiiiiggggghhhttttt calm down'
 
Me and my hate had the worst experience cinema experince the other day.

A group of about 20 or so students came in, and from they moment they entered to the time they were chucked out they were an absolute nightmare.. running about switching seats, gossiping, texting, girls constantly giggling..

It got so bad, i left and complained, as did my mate and then a few other people, I have to say the staff were brilliant, someone came in everytime, had a quiet word, then walked in every 20 mins or so to check, then finally sat at the back to catch them at it and that was it. Out they went, making as much noise and fuss as they possibly could of course.

The manager was standing at the door at the end of the film to apologise to people.
If I didnt have a cineworld card I would have been furious at my money being wasted by inconsiderate idiots.
 
I haven't been to the cinema for about 20 years because of morons in the audience.
They can't tell the difference between a cinema and sitting in their front room watching a film on the TV.
They think they can behave any way they like.
 
Batman Dark Night was ruined for me by chavs. This lad was laughing and making fart noises, i turned around and said 'shut the f*ck up' all people around me agreed. He then threw popcorn at me calling me a ****.

I complained to the manager and had him removed. Luckily he wasn't waiting for me in the car park. My friend said to me shes never going to the cinema with me again as she was well scared.

On a related matter went to see the last Harry Potter and a group of screaming children with downs syndrome decided to pay a visit. Couldn't exactly tell them to keep the noise down as I know they cant help it.
 
And you still sit as far apart from each other as possible. :D

I'm a big screen experience person myself. I know some people who go for the social aspects but I personally just like to go alone and enjoy the film. Generally I'll only go to the cinema when there is a particular film on that demanRAB a big screen for the best viewing experience (Avatar, LOTR etc). Everything else I'm happy to watch on the small screen.
 
At least they went and left you in peace. Cinema's should employ security guarRAB who remain in the screen on chav-watch with zero tolerance. Fight fire with fire.
 
Yep - From my past experiences, in my area, there's always someone who wants to ruin the movie for others - Whether it's a loud group of teenagers 'giving it large', loud talkers behind you, popcorn throwing and all the rest - I just find it's not worth it, unless I really really want to see the film, and there are no screeners available.

I was on the bus today and there were two awful little hooded reprobates shouting/swearing loudly, farting and making innappropriate comments to any attractive girls that walked past them which clearly made some of them feel uncomfortable (as if they'd actually have a chance...). Half the time i hadn't got a clue what they were saying because of their seemingly shitty grasp of the English language. I could have pleasantly slammed their heaRAB repeatedly into the tram windows...

I don't care if i sound bigoted or Daily Mail-ish, these tw*ts need erradicating.
 
Last time I went to Cineworld Hammersmith the toilets were cleaner than the auditorium. It was a real "never again" experience.

Have the caring executive management team sorted that place out yet?
