i have 4 mtx 8500 dual 4 ohm 12s with 2 1501d mtx amps that were measured at about 1800 at 1 ohm from the birth certificate says. im gonna keep the amps but should i change the 4 12s for 2 ssa xcon 15s, they rate 1750rms each. the mtx 8500s are 2000rms for all 4 and with both 15s its 3500 and with the amps i would have good enough power. from what i know the 2 15s are way more power but its only 30 inches of circumference and all 4 12s would be 48 inches of subs. ive heard the more inches, the better but would i be alot louder with those 2 15s at the recommended box which would be 4 cu. ft. per sub at 33hz. please help anything helps thanks guys.
