CD player for a Ford Taurus SEL 2005?

I recently received a ford taurus sel 2005, and there is a space in the center console for a cd player to be added. I was wondering if i needed a specific cd player or if can just put any kind of cd player i want to in it...?
 
i would recomend an alpine or clarion head unit. they both are pretty good.

all u need is a dash kit to make it fit.
