Casino Royale

one of the Pierce brosnan films i think it was World is not enough he is hanging down from the building and says next time i will take the elevator, obviously we would expect him to say LIFT.

There is a major torture scene in the book, if they remove it for the film then they are stupid. Ive seen in the trailer that the buildup to the torture of Bond is in the film.

He gets striped naked, tied to a chair and his bollocks are smacked with a stick from below the chair by Le Chiffre

really good film i thought .. the actual james bond theme neeRAB to be played during the film not at the end.. also the lack of gadgets apart from the tom tom on his phone ! comon its Bond :P

i loved the car .. shame what happens to it :( .. the girls were fantastic .. daniel was good the more we see of him as bond the better, keep thinking of pierce brosnan will go away with time

I think the song is great, certainly the best in a long time!

And I'm also really looking forward to the movie. I must have watched the trailer about 50 times over the past few weeks :o

A positive for me with Casino Royale, would be seeing a new type of James Bond. As I've always wanted to see a gritty & tough 'hardman' secret agent, instead of the 'prettyboy' looking Roger Moore/Pierce Brosnan type.

did anyone else notice during the airport scene when they go onto the airport runway there is a Virgin plane that instead of showing Boeing 747 says Airbis A380.. seems that Branson thought they would have one in service by now

Just got back from the pics, what a great film, didnt think I would like Daniel Craig as Bond but he was fab. A bit different to the normal Bond films I thought but in a good way, hope the next one is as good.

I can't wait too, the last movie was terrible just bland.
I'm going extra crazy because it's another reboot and Goldeneye director Martin Campbell is directing again and as I've seen in the trailers it feels more "Raw" like Goldeneye, which is my favourite bond movie.

Everyone has been pis*ing on Daniel Craig but I hope he pulls it off (the Bond character, not his pants)

Funnily enough, though, Ian Fleming's nickname for his mother was "M". It was a family joke when he started writing the Bond books (even though the original M was male).

My review, I got a bit overexcited

Casino Royale

Casino Royale is the first Bond film since 2002, the director, Martin Campbell, also directed Goldeneye, though fortunately the new film has little in common with his previous Bond work. The longish break has allowed the potential audience to rekindle its appetite for Bond as the wretched disgrace of Die Another Day fades from memory and joins View to Kill and Moonraker as heinous blots on the cinematic lanRABcape. The travesty of Die Another Day, complete with ice palace and tedious car chase, must have prompted EON productions to halt the slip of the franchise into the shallow, camp and gadget-obsessed films of the Moore era and return to the style of the more credible Connery films. So for Casino Royale the effete Brosnan is ejected, and not before time, despite offers from Quentin Tarantino to direct him in a last outing, and instead comes the physical, gritty and taciturn Daniel Craig whose selection was heavily criticised by many.

Casino Royale immediately disturbs those familiar with the signature opening format; the traditional sequence of a view through the barrel of a gun of a silhouetted Bond who turns and delivers a lethal gunshot, and then the cut to the opening mini-film, all accompanied by Monty Norman

I agree. I see why they did it, but now that Craig's Bond has earnt his 007 status I really hope it is reintroduced for the next movie. It's a bit like having Star Wars without the scrolling story intro.

I think I found it here. I read on another forum that Smirnoff Ice were giving it away free for a remix competition, so it's free to download.

Edit- right click on the link to save it :)

Saw it last night and loved it. Wasn't perfect a film, the plot had huge holes and was probably a little bit too long. Worst part was the opening credits - awful.

However, twas very very very very good. Daniel Craig was great and sooo lush ;)

Daniel Craig - best Bond ever.

I was lucky enough to go to a pre-release screening of Casino Royale on Thursday night and thought it was superb. I can thoroughly recommend it.
Probably the only film worth paying to see on the big screen this year.
