Cartoons that you never saw the first time around, but liked later on

Are there any cartoons that you never actually got to see the first time they were around, but after picking up an episode or two after the fact, you found that you liked?

1. The Raccoons. Having not been a Canadian child (although northern Michigan is basically Ontario, Jr.), I missed out on this one big time. I caught a few episodes on YouTube, and wow. Just wow. That is some deep stuff in the later episodes, and even the earlier, "lighter" eps are great.

2. Biker Mice from Mars. Oh come on, with a title like that how can you go wrong? Seriously, this has an unusual premise, likeable characters, and solid writing. And this is the only time I ever laughed at the line "Are you a man or a mouse?".

3. Ovide and the Gang. I was exposed to this one after picking up a tape of it at a library book sale in a mall so dead its only tenants are offices and a Chinese restaurant. Yeah, it's not outstanding, but it has an odd late 80s-early 90s charm to it. Plus, I think platypi are really cool.

4. Sonic Underground. Non-canonical? Who cares? This one carries the same "darker" vibe as SatAM, and it has a very interesting story line in my opinion. The songs are a bit awkward, but they go down easy enough, and the "music = power" premise is especially interesting to a musician like me.

“Kim Possible” is the only animated program that I can think of at the moment, although it has the caveat of having been brought back for a fourth season after it was effectively cancelled. I started watching the series on a whim, as I caught the episode entitled “Dimension Twist” one day and I thoroughly enjoyed it, so I began to watch more and more episodes and I ultimately managed to watch them all. I never gave the series a chance back when it debuted, as even though the notion is childish, I felt that I would lose every ounce of my masculinity if I did. However, I got over such thoughts and I have no regrets. Since I started watching the series after it was cancelled, I felt that it was suitable to mention in this thread, but as I’ve said, the series was given another chance at life and brought back for a fourth season after I started watching it. It has since ended for good.

Fairly Oddparents. I didn't start watching it till 2005.

EDIT:

I guess you can also count Family Guy. I didn't start watching that show till Adult Swim began airing it in 2003.

Underdog. I wasn't even alive when it first aired but I saw repeats later on and I was completely obsessed. Still kinda am.

Actually you can probably count my whole interest in the beginnings of animation and really old cartoons.

I just recently watched Filmore for the first time a week ago due to a block airing Toon Disney had on a Sunday morning. I passed on it the first time around due to its look, but after watching the few episodes that aired, I have become a fan. It's a shame it doesn't have a constant timeslot or a DVD set, because from what I saw it had excellent writing for what was essentially Law & Order: Middle School Edition.

Jimmy Neutron
You know, when 2D animation was being replaced by 3D, both on tv and video games... and I was kinda anti all that, so I refused to watch it (maybe MAX STEEL had a bad impact on me as a kid). Wasn't until about 2006 that I realized Jimmy Neutron was a hilarious show with great animation, voice actors and character designs. And today it's one of my favorites

Fairly OddParents
Boy, was I a late bloomer with FOP. But I blame the odd broadcasting in European countries (allthough, I'm in Scandinavia). FOP never aired on Nickelodeon, and until 3 years ago I only had Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. FOP aired on Disney Channel. So, when I got DC and realized FOP was on there, I started watching it religiously

Invader Zim
Never aired here for some reason. Wasn't until I heard about the DVD's being released that I imported them and watched the show for the first time (I know, I was gambling, but fortunately enough I loved it)

El Tigre. I started watching it a few months ago. I love it. Is much better than most of stuff right now, if not anything.
Also Mission Hill, but it may apply for anyone.

I was not interested in "Angry Beavers" from the beginning until I found time to watch the show early in its original run and enjoyed it ever since. I realized what good artwork it had as I continued to watch the show almost everytime it appeared on Nickelodeon.

I just thought of another one: DangerMouse. I never saw it when it first aired (considering I wasn't born yet), and I don't recall ever seeing it in reruns on Nickelodeon, because I don't think I touched that channel until 1993. I took a gamble and bought a couple tapes of it off eBay ages ago, and liked what I saw. I have since bought two DVD sets of it, neither of which I can find right now.

As for starbrace's post, boy am I glad I didn't take that kind of gamble on Invader Zim...

Cowboy Bebop. After hearing all the hype about this show I made my way to Blockbusters and rented the "Best Sessions" DVD (not knowing, foolishly, that they would be out of order). the first episode did nothing for me, and the next one on the disc was "Ballad of a Fallen Angel", which I could'nt understand at all.

A few years later I started to rent the DVDs (in order) from the library. The first episode still does nothing for me, but just about all the others got me hooked. It's now one of my favorite series.

In fact, I've even got a FANFICTION on it in the STORY BOARD SECTION. (blatant self Promotion FTW)

I always thought "Cowboy Bebop" sounded more like a musical genre. You know, western swing mixed with jazz or something like that.

This is the battlefield for our game of speed and strategy! These are the letters that lead to victory... on Blockbusters! (Obscure game show reference of the day.)

The newer ninja turtles. I didn't watch any of them until they wen't to the future then bought the dvds to watch the first couple seasons.
Also I hated spiderman but watched them on toon disney last year and liked them.
