car stereo cannot play mp3 properly?

my car stereo has the mp3 logo on it, but i copied an mp3 cd using itunes and it can only play some songs and even if it could, it takes a long time to start or it skips a lot. if i copy an audio cd it plays fine. what is the problem? is it something to do with cbr and vbr? itunes doesnt give any options for copying an mp3 cd while audio cd it allows you to have cd text and gapless.

any ideas ?thanks
 
I think it's the fomat of the songs that is the problem try using another software to burn your mp3's. Try using either Nero burning rom if you have it or if not then you can burn mp3's with windows media player.
