Does the size or type of power cord make a difference at all?? Would a larger power cord help the sub produce more sound, or a stronger base?

Also, does the type of RCA cord matter? Would I be just as well off with at $30 RCA as i would with a brand name $90 RCA? Is there any difference??

Please help, im trying to get the most out of my new subwoofer..

Power cord is really important that its rated for your amp or bigger is better. If the cord is to small it can melt down and cause damage. Usually the power cord is labelled for watt recomendation. The RCA cables are not that important. You want decent cables because the sound quality will be better. It may not make a huge difference and you might just waste more money for expensive cables. I bought a 40 dollar wiring kit from walmart and everything sounds awesome. Just be sure to get a heavy gauge power cord.

The RCA cable only really matters when you are using an amp to power interior speakers as you want the best noise rejection possible.
A 10 dollar RCA cable is fine for a basic amp/sub setup.

You need the correct size power cord depending on how many amps are being pulled and how long the wire is. If you mean the speaker wire from the amp to the sub, 16 gauge is plenty for most setups.

So, what kind of amp?
