Car Audio Speakers? Help?

So I have an 04' Hyundai Santa Fe and it has shit speakers. And I put 2 12' Alpine Type Rs in it. The bass is crazy loud but louder than my speakers. I was thinking about selling the subs and buying good speakers for the speakers and a new headunit. Is this a good choice. I barely use the subs anyway since they take up too much trunk space and I don't listen to rap songs anymore. And what kind of car speakers would you recomend?
 
As you don't use your subs often,you may as well sell them and get two infinity 6x9 and two infinity 6x6 for your door speakers,a new head unit would run these but i would use a 250 watt amp to power the 6x9's.
