car audio speaker set up question.?

I have a 99 chevy silverado extra cab truck. I have two kicker 12" cvr's under the back seats, kicker ks 6.5 components in the front doors, Now I had kicker ds 6x9's in the back in little boxes but I blew the highs. I wondering if I should relplace them with the kicker ks 6x9's or put another set of kicker ks components in the back. What would sound the best? I want professional advise how to make my system sound the best I can. I was even thinking of adding another set of tweeter in the from on the dash to get better sounding highs. I'm running my components and 6x9's from a pioneer 776 2-channel amp how much better would the 4-channel make it sound and why. I'm running my subs from a 1000watt crunch and the audio store is telling me that a performance teknique 2000watt would make my subs sound better and what difference would the monochannel digital amp or the 2 channel make? I would like to know how you have set up these silverado's in your shop to make the best sounds. I listen to hip hop and rock. Your answers will be very much appreciated, Thank you.
 
Get rid of the kicker 6X9's and toss the kicker comps out the door while your at it. Follow this link and pick up 2 sets of these and you will be more than happy with them:

Kicker can only wish to make something that sounds as good as these.
 
i run just a pair of 61/2 for the rear fill in mono in a large van. the idea is to have a stage sound in front of you.
if u see a live show the highs and all other sounds come in front of you, same with the music you listen to, engineers spend countless hours mixing the music for the stage you hear in front of you and highs coming from behind you is not part of it.
a 4 channel amp for mids will give you much more tuning power some use half the power for the rear speakers as the front and use twice the power for their subs over the front speakers.
having less power to the rear speakers or not using highs should make your existing tweeters come alive and have more front and stereo definition but adding another pair is rarely a great idea.

i would get that 4 chan amp, consider tweeter aiming or position up front and Google "system tuning" and settings, the idea is to make what you currently have perform the best that it can there are so many settings, gain, bass, treble, crossover settings, left and right balance.
 
I haven't done car audio in a few years, but in my opinion ..... I'd say go with another component set instead of 6x9's. You can seperate the highs, mids, and lows better. I typically would usually use 2 channel amps AFTER an active crossover. Call me crazy, but I have always thought keeping things even was the best way to go.
As far as the subs, it's not so much HOW MUCH power you are putting to them, it's how CLEAN the power is. BUT, your enclosure is the biggest part on how the subs perform. Go with a GOOD quality amp, and an enclosure that is designed for your frequency range within the air space displacement of your vehicle. Also remember less power = less heat, excessive heat = major problems!!
