forget max, need an amp able to push 1000w somehow be it at 2 or 4 ohms or 1ohm if its stable for the amp. u have some homework to do on understanding power. hit up crutchfield's website to understand the basics. u'll be glad u did later. enjoy the subs.
oh and get a decent amp. cheapo ones will shut off due to the heat, get a d mono amp if u can- ebay or craigslist or new. u can underpower them by say 100W each but to achieve full optimal performance you'll need 500W each.
if they're 4 ohms single voice coil wire them parallel to get a 2 ohm load to the amp. crutchfield and 12volt.com have wiring diagrams that can help on svc and dvc subs.
ph ps- if u get a cheap amp try to build a amp rack box and build two fans into it to keep the amp cool. cheap amps heat up real quickly. one fan blows in, one out.
