car audio question. got a sub question?

i have 2 12' subs 1200 watts each connected to a 1000 watt amp... (2-channel) when i have them hooked up as each speaker on its own terminal (channel) it bumps good and sounds good but when i tried to get more sound (bass) and put them in bridge mode it sounds wierd how can i fix this? ive tried input sensitivity and bass boost but nothin.

btw.. my amp is bridgeable capable
yess...need clarity
 
get a bigger amp if each sub is 1200w get an amp of at least 3000w or 2 1500w. i have 2 600w 12" sub connected to a 2300w amp and they are extreamly loud
