Car audio question... Can my sub break my window?

I am installing 2 15"s in my firebird and the subs are literally 3 to 4 inches away from the window(rear)... Im running it with a 2000 watt legacy amp and the speakers are volfenhag ( yes I know they "suck") anyway my parents are worried that it is going to break the window or the weather stripping around it.... is this correct?
 
2kW is probably peak power. THD at that power is probably so bad your speakers will explode before the window.

Assuming you do end up creating something that resembles bass however, I would worry more about other things coming loose in the car. Sure, you may loosen the window over time but it's not like the thing is going to blow right out the back of the car. Mythbusters tried that one.
 
Nope, that amp is really over rated youll be lucky to see 1500w rms if that. Steve meade doesnt even do that and he has over 20,000 watts of power with 4 18" subs.
