Car audio problems with a sub amp?

I pulled my sub amp out of my car to put it into my other car. I've done a few full installs but never had problems like this. So the amp worked fine when I pulled it out. Now in the other car with a new deck, (the works), when I plug the RCAs into the amp the whole system makes a very loud cracking noise like it's gonna blow my sub and other door speakers that are hooked up to another amp which is brand new. Like I said I've done quite a few full audio installs but never had this problem. Does anyone have an idea what it could be?

Sounds like a pinched wire and feedback, did you pull anything out when you laid out the RCAs, especially around seats and anything where you have hard metal crushing into hard metal. Also are you trying to install with your car battery still connected? That is a major no-no and would destroy your amps and potentially give you shorts all through out your car's electrical system.
