Car audio problems. Please help.?

My face plate kind of comes on when I attach it. There is a small, dim, light. But does not fully power on. No sound, no display, just a small light that I can barely see inside where the CD goes in. Pushing buttons do not work.I checked fuses and connections. What could possibly be wrong?
 
Maybe connected to the wrong power, yellow wire should go to something that has power, when ignition is on...not like headlights. Hope that helps.
