Car audio only works when driver door is open (???)?

About a month ago my car audio would go a couple hours without working - I would shut it off and then turn it back on after what I was doing (i.e. work, school, etc) and it would usually work. Not thinking this would turn into a problem, I didn't really think much of it.

Now, I have torn apart the inside of my car making sure that the wires are all secure in the places they should be and the best I can do is getting it to work when the driver door is open. The cd player works fine seeing as it works when the door is open.

Any idea how to fix this or what would be causing this?

I drive a 99 Honda Civic LX
The CD Player is a Pioneer DEH-P350
My system has worked perfectly fine for the past 3 years. I do not think I would need any additional parts.

im not really sure. one issue could be if you installed the deck yourself that you needed a modulator cuz of your door chim and stuff, the usually run for 100$ but to find out if you need one go to your local audio store like abc or something and give them your car and year and they will tell you

Weird problem. Somehow it appears that the interior light circuit is activating (or powering) your stereo. You can confirm this by removing the interior light fuse - if the stereo quits working, this power is somehow crossed up with normal radio feed.
On the other hand, if the radio continues to work with only the door open, the vehicle needs an exorcism.
