Hey I am new to car audio, my current setup is two pioneer 3 and a half's up front to replace stock ones and two sony xplod 6 x 9's in the back to replace old ones.
I am saving and planning toward tweeters, two 6 and a half's for the door (I have heard people call these kickers, or midbass) two or three subs (10 or 8 inch), and two amps, one amp for sub and one and for speakers. Crossovers? Should I get those?
My questions are, do matching brands matter? What would be the best brand/setup for cost effeciency, I stay broke and I'm struggling to save up this money as is. I am looking at 300 or below ish.
Just wondering some guidelines and advice, and links and sites on how to install, how to make boxes etc. I plan to make all my own boxes and install and wire all of this. I'm doing it all right the first time.
