Car Audio need some facts?

Ok so I want to install a new car audio system into my honda accord 07 and like im wondering how simple it would be if im just changing the dash not the speakers is it as easy as getting a mold to hold the dash system that works and then connecting some wiring on the back that is already present or is it more complicated then that?

Basically I am just wondering how easy it is to do a project like this on my own, I am tech savvy so I don't think it will be a hard project but I just want to know is it as simple as buying the mold or dash system and then installing and connecting the wires on the back or is it more complicated then that.

it is simpler just to replace the speakers or head unit than the whole dash, trust me I had to replace my dash --then I put a system in it.
