Car audio- I hooked up my subwoofer , the problem is the power cord isn't getting power?

I hooked up my sub woofer in my new car and it worked for the first day, the problem is that the power cord isn't getting power :/ i am baffled, it worked great in my other car. To trouble shoot i got a different 4 gauge wire and ran it and the same thing happened it worked when i initially hooked it up but the next time i turned the car on it wasnt getting power? any help would be greatly appreciated
 
The 4 gauge is connected to the battery. Do u have a little fuse box with a 80-100amp fuse connected to the wire. If u do check and see if u blew the fuse. If that's not it check to see if your ground wire is connected tightly to the amp and to a metal part of ur vehicle. If that isn't it check all your wires to ur amp and make sure they are are tightly secure. One more thing if your still having problems, go with a 2 gauge wire for power and ground.
