Car audio help! Front speakers are silent?

I have a 2006 honda civic. Awhile ago I was a idiot and drove my car through deep water (a little less than a foot deep) about a month later my passenger side front speaker quit working (its not blown and sound like crap) it just doesn't make any sound... about another month or two later my driver side front speaker quit working like the passenger side speaker. I think it is water damaged and I have a complete stock audio system that hasn't ever been messed with. Any ideas? and how can I fix this? I'd like to do it my self to save some money...

There may be water damage or just a loose wire but I definately suggested putting aftermarket speakers in. I put in 4 new doors speakers, deck, and wired my car for subs. It's easier than you think. All you have to do is pull of the door panels and unscrew the speakers. Take the stock ones out and put in the aftermarket. THere are only two wires to connect the speakers so its self explanatory. Trust me its worth the extra work when you can show up banging.

unless the water got up inside the car that should not have been a problem. it could be as simple as a loose connection. i would first take your door panels off and check wiring. then check the wire from your radio. if all that is good it is probably the head unit. the only things that make a speaker go silent are no connection or if the wires from the cone to the resistor on the speaker itself are bad,
