i have a 93 cadillac. lately, when i first start the car in the morning, then turn on the radio, for a few minutes, the RPMs drop when the bass hits. i do have a 500w amp/sub in the trunk. had a 1000w system, but i think that is what started my problems. if i leave the radio off or even just paused, no problems. and if i have driven for a while, it doesnt do it. only after the car has sat for a while. just replaced the altenator, and the battery is tested as good. my question is: could my 5 or so year old capacitor have gone bad, and not holding a charge like it should, thus making the charging system take extra time to recharge it, that in turn, is why it takes a while to be able to keep the system from messing with my battery? a couple of people i talked to said this is a likely cause, but id love some other opinions. thanks for your help
