I have recently installed a car audio system into my car, i put in two amps; an alpine mrp-600 for my speakers, and one of the kicker kick packs, with that amp piggybacking from the preout on the alpine amp. everything has been working perfectly until recently i started to have cut outs, whilst the HU stays on and the time on a song continues progressing. After watching the amps when they cut out, it seems like the alpine is losing power, as the blue led dims and fades in and out as the sound cuts out and back in. I noticed that if i apply pressure to the back drivers door trim, i could make this happen, it turned out the remote-turn-on was being squashed, so i replaced the entire cable. yet it cuts out! im not sure if it could be ground as that is attached to the opposite side of the car. so now i have no idea what is causing this!!! it just seems strange that i could trigger the cut outs at will by pressing on that trim and after fixing that it still happens, and its all totally random also, and still occurs at VERY low volumes! Please help! Its driving me insane!
