Car Amp Question..........?

If i buy a 1000 watt amp and its 2 channels then its pushing 500 watts to each speaker right?

but if i buy a 500 watt monochannel, then its pushing 500 watts to each speaker right?
 
a 2 channel 1000 watt amp will probably put out 500 watts per channel at 2ohms

a 500 watt mono block will put out 250 watts to each speaker at two ohm but be care full it needs to be hooked up correctly tell somebody at a car audio shop what you got and they will be able to get you what you need

if you don't understand the basics of how subs work like
wattage and ohms have a Professional hook it up for you
