Cannot get Cabasse CD Player to work in Renault Laguna?

Hi,

I have recently bought a 03 Renault Laguna with a Cabasse CD Player. I think this may be a 6 cd multi changer but not sure. Anyways when i go to change the source to CD the display just displays 'wait' and does not load. The cd slot will also not take in the CD and none of the buttons respond (such as eject or load). Anyone know how i can sort this.
