Hi!
I am a freshman at Reed College, and I have been wanting a pet for some time. I want something low maintenance, but slightly more entertaining than a fish. Through some basic research I have come across the leopard gecko! I have a few questions about care because I have come across some conflicting information.
1. For substrate, which is better, paper towels or sand?
2. If you supplement the diet with vitamins and calcium, can you feed your gecko primarily (only) meal worms?
3. Do you need an overhead lamp?
4. Should water be provided constantly or only a few times a week?
5. Do they smell?
6. Is a male or female gecko preferable?
7. Do you have a favorite breeder?
If you could answer any or all of these questions, I would greatly appreciate it!
