I spent some time in the Netherlands. The people are quiet and polite for the most part. The country is flat, green in spring and summer, and very clean. Most people speak at least some English. I know for sure they like to drink Heineken's beer. Their culture is pan-West European, with standard-type clubs aplenty in the larger cities. Most of the country seems to go to bed early. The best way to get around is by bicycle or train between cities.
