can i use the 12v wire for the car lighter to power a stereo deck?

yes, but youll need to find an accessory wire. the 12 volt main goes to powering memory options like clock, radio presets, where you were last on a cd, and the 12 volt accessory actually powers up the deck so that its not on constantly draining your battery
