Can I hook up subs and amp to my stock CD unit, in my 06 stratus?

I have heard that its possible, but wanted to know exactly what it would take to do so, Is it just a crossover? Any help and a gear list would help, THANK YOU! Oh and its a 06 Dodge Stratus.
 
pretty much all you need is a cross over for the rca for the amp and a remote wire to turn it off and on
other than that you hook up the amp the normal way
cross over
amp wire kit
and a switch
