Can i hook a 600 watt amp to my two 12" L7 kickers?

OK so i bought a amp the other day i thought it put out 1500 watts and im retarded and didnt pay attention to it when i got it and its to late to return it,and im upgrading from L5s to L7s would my amp which gives out 609 watts(i tested it) be good enough to power both of the L7s or what do i need to do?Thanks
