My z550 was firing on three resulting in the oil being fouled by the petrol. Or so i was told. The oil is very creamy white but is air cooled so i'm not too worried. I also have a loud tapping noise coming from the engine? Got me a new oil filter and i'm ready to drop the old gunk out but can i use an engine flush before refilling? I've used them in a car before but never on a bike? Any other advise welcome. Thank you

Yes you can. Get the oil nice and warm though so it picks up as much as possible. The creamy sludge could be because the bikes been standing and is nothing more than condensation that's been absorbed by the oil.

Tapping noise......does it go when the bikes warm? If so its probably the cam chain. Older Kawasaki lumps were quite noisy when cold, even the water cooled GPZ engines were known for it.

If its there all the while then it may be valve clearances.

See what its like with new oil in it first

Sucram, it sounds like the oil has water in it, not petrol, try running a cup full of gas in the engine for a few seconds, but no longer. Or just try a oil treatment with your oil. Good luck!
