Can I determine myself if I have strep throat by not getting a throat culture?...

There are often telltale sgns of strep, but not always, so if you are concerned that it's more than a sore throat, you should always consult a doctor, and only a doctor can give you the anti-biotic that you need if you have strep.

Strep usually presents itself with little white spots on the back of your throat. You might have a fever, and feel fatigued. Often strep does not have other cold symptoms (like runny nose) but it can.

So really, you need to check with your doctor. Google strep throat for more specific symptoms.
