Can a recently installed dvd player kill the starter?

i just got a dvd payer put in my truck and now the truck will not start, the lights, radio, etc come on but it will not crank up or turn over what could be the problem?????
 
What type of truck?

It is possible the way things are wired these days.

99% of the time new changes are the cause of new problems. I would bet on the DVD player being the problem.
 
Its possible they tapped into the wrong wire or cut the igintion wire when they installed the system. Have them go over the wiring again at the shop that installed it, or send them the bill from the shop were you have it repaired.
