Buying a Kawasaki Ninja 250R?

The different models that come out - '08, '09 etc. If I wanted to buy a 2010 model for example, would I pre-order it towards the end of '09? Do they actually come out in 2010 or 2009? Is there even any need to order early? Cheers! :)
 
i just got a 2009 kawasaki ninja 250r in september. i was on two lists for a couple of months. these bikes are very popular and if i where you i would call a dealer and ask when they will start taking names so you can get first on the list and make sure to ask about putting money down. i had my name on one list and found another place selling the bike cheaper but i thought i would be 16 on the list and then i found out that none of the other people waiting put money down so if id id then they would put me at first which was lucky because they got the bike where as the other place didnt. also there is a small chance the 2010 model will be fuel injected which would be a huge plus.
so if you want to be sure to get one as soon as possible get some money down at 1 or more dealers as soon as they are taking names.
and they will give refunds if you dont buy the bike from them
