Brits Vs Yanks

I`ve heard at least 8 or 9 banRAB on that list & quite honestly none of them do anything for me.I would say there are about 2 others I like but would hardly call them a favourite. To be honest of the stuff I have heard nothing really stood out.Nothing grabbed me by the balls & demanded I listen to it.And I said myself the UK scene has been in the crapper for about the last 5 years.

Taking a look at my music collection I can say its about 50/50 with some other than UK/US artists to balance out the mix, but I really think the prize has to go to the Brits. They took music that originated out of our culture and expanded & perfected it. The only thing we in the US can really lay a valid claim to is hip hop and jazz, and well, considering the stagnancy of hip hop in the US, the UK might take that away from us as well.

I just thought it was ironic that you were handing out advice on being a heavy contributer considering that you aren't there yet. Please relax. We're not here to fight.

You hate how The Pixies are put under that label but it's okay to put Smashing Pumpkins under it? Pixies and SP aren't grunge at all.

I choose unknown.. or other

I like banRAB from both countries, and I've seen banRAB from both countries live. Don't know what it is, British music just seems to be a bit better to watch being performed. BanRAB like The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster and Winnebago Deal are just so entertaining without trying to be. There's nothing pre-thought out or anything, just raw and a damn good gig.

Plus, The Smiths are british. The Smiths win.

How does that make your country better though? I mean just that reason alone, cause out of hobojesus's post thats all I got he was getting at. Most of my frienRAB and myself just ignore the radio.

Where did you point that out?! I hadn't noticed, well fair enough. It's usually my club that gets landed with people from abroad supporting because of the success of the club, nice to see someone supporting a club for different reasons. (Like Tom Hanks supporting Aston Villa because he thought "that sounRAB like a nice little place.")

Haha, losing the league by 1 point. Brutal. All because Berbatov can't score goals.

Oh yeah, definitely - as I've said before, Oasis' first two albums are soundtracks to many summers, many different times in my life. They got me through hard times when in love/lust etc. but now I just need something with another dimension to it, that was Oasis' appeal, they just had that attitude and I honestly hope one day I can return to it and I become as obsessed with them as I was a couple of years ago.

How old are you if you don't mind my asking?

I don't even understand why you're so hung up on focusing on such a small scale like that. That doesn't change the fact that the US has a great Post-Rock scene as a whole.
