Breakfast?

I'm still debating treating them with soy sauce or taco sauce. I ate
some a few hours ago with Bacon-Ranch dressing.

They are warming in the m-wave as I type this.

It's amazing how much they help with the pain after a certain point.

Strong coffee. Yesterday's breakfast of thick ham steak and eggs was a bit
much, I am going light today. But lunch will be lentil soup and fresh crusty
sourdough. With fake butter, of course!

I'm still at work for another hour, but now that you've got me thinking
about breakfast (and this is the start of my weekend), I think I'll make a
cornmeal-based spoonbread, a compote of those Chinese jujube fruits with
cinnamon, and sausage. If we've got a bunch of carrots, I'll juice some of
them just so Lin can feel good about leaving the juicer on the counter, and
I'll also make a mimosa for Lin so that she knows I appreciate her.

I skipped breakfast and had biltong for late lunch. Found some nice
big 'rump' streaks at the local butchery that we're gonna throw on the
braai later, and I might even have a nice cold glass of beer to wash it
down with (don't faint, I do have the odd beer), as the weather is
warming up nicely - 86.1F as I type this...

I like the way you think! But really, would it kill you to put the juicer

I have only had coffee thus far and am uninspired. This is bad

Just coffee this morning for me. Lunch (which I usually have late morning,
so I guess that makes it brunch) was leftover lentil soup/stew that I made
the other day. Absolutely delicious, especially with a chunk of extra sharp
cheddar melted into it.

brunch was 2 'keilbasa loaf' kaiser bun sandwiches....mayo, slice of
tomato, cucumbers, cheddar cheese and smoked red peppers were also used in
these 'sandwiches' plus an industralized size coffee. When I went shopping
on Saturday I got this because I couldn't find the ham bacon loaf....It
makes for a loverly cold cut.

Kirita,

You certainly pulled up a breakfast post from the past!

I usually just eat breakfast so I make the most of it. The rest of the
day I drink water and snack on fruits and veggies, crispbread & garlic
hummus, etc. Mostly anything that I'll easily tire of chewing. A diet
measure I addopted years ago.

Another thing, for me is breakfast isn't limited to typical breakfast
foods.

I don't know about breakfast in Spain vs. America. From a couple years
of Breakfast posts and from real life experience, lots of folks can get
by on coffee and minimalist breakfasts or late breakfasts or just
coffee.

I think many people also just don't have the time, perhaps, hurried to
get ready for work and the commute to work, etc. That is pure
speculation on my part.

I wake up with a large breakfast appetite! "Fuel for the day!" Sometimes
I'll have a late lunch. If I have dinner, I typically don't sleep so
well.

I believe in the saying:

"Breakfast is gold
Lunch is silver
Dinner is lead"
