Bottom, Young Ones, or Filthy Rich And Catflap

Exactly what I was about to post... loved Mr Jolly, some amazing moments like when the delivery arrives and Ade throws himself out the window :D

Escorts, Bescorts!!!

Bottom was the best for me. Every episode is memorable for something, and the nearest we got to fining out how Rik and Vyv may have turned out.

The only things I remember from F, R & C were the blankety blank type game show episode and Midge Ure. In fact I preferred the Bad News stuff from Comic Strip to Filthy, Rich & Catflap.

Guest House Paradiso, their finest moment. Richard Tw*t (pronounced Thwaite) and Eddie Elizabeth Ndingobamba (pronounced as you read it!)

My choice of Bottom would be very close to it though

And then the rest. The Dangerous Brothers, anyone mentioned them alread

Oh, and A Kick Up the Eighties feat. Kevin Turvey

Just to clarify

Bottom Live 3: Hooligan's Island: 9:40pm
Bottom Live: Weapons Grade Y-Fronts Tour: 11:50pm

Also, G.O.L.D are showing Bottom episodes on Monday and Tuesday nights.

The Young Ones nicks it for me. Growing up in the 90's, even then there wasn't such a massive amount of Channels, and BBC2 used to repeat all the classic Young Ones, Blackadder, Red Dwarf's.

I read somewhere that the reason they had banRAB in the Young Ones was so that they could make it with the budget of a variety show rather than a comedy show.

Am watching back to back episodes of The Young Ones at the moment & am loving seeing them again, as it reminded me of the days where you could watch mindless violence on television without the bubble wrap brigade saying that it should be removed to stop children from copying it .

One of my favourite Bottom episodes has to be Apocalypse esp the part where the gypsy gives Eddie a stiff kick :D

The Young Ones was seminal and introduced a new era in comedy. It'll go down in history because of it and they were right to only film 12 episodes then split. Bottom was ok, a bit hit and miss... Catflap is an underrated classic imo. The send-up of the showbiz lovey society was class. It wasn't given a fair chance back then because everyone was expecting The Young Ones Mark II. Tres boner, daughter.....

Anyone else think The young ones has not aged well, if I watch it nowadays I find it a bit naff and cringeworthy tbh.

Use to love it with I was a kid when it was first on

Bottom is still as funny now than it was when I first watched it

Have you not seen Series 3 then?

For me, Bottom wins every time, then The Young Ones, then Catflap.

I also love Guest House Paradiso. When Richie gets stuck in the oven with that bright red sex clobber on! :D

Bottom definitely!

Was watching the episode today where Eddie and Richie look after the shop. :D "What about the goddamn Jaffa Cakes? Asswipe!!"

Yeah, i remember that as well - clever move.

But then it gave rise to some immortal lines .. "To the station! Music !" .. and the opening bars of "Ace of Spades" :D
