Bleach - Fans who lost interest, is it still worth it? (Kubo's Writing)

See, I've been complaining about Kubo's canon writing itself, without fully experiencing, I'm betting I'd probably still love it (Ha.)
Though, with filler- I hadn't watched any of the "New Captain" Arc, I just skipped it, but I wondering, with the anime and the filler literally being separate from Canon now, if it is overall any good; thus if I watched it.

With the filler, expanding on characters you don't see much of may be interesting.

I just make a point of only reading series like Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece once every couple of years. The experience is always much better when you get it all at once instead of in tiny installments over the course of an eternity.

When I first caught up to Bleach and started reading it on a weekly basis, it was on about Chapter 270. So I've been following it for about three years (?).

And when I look back on where the series is when I caught up and where it is now, it's flat-out depressing how little ground has been covered.

Especially with Current Shonen, and anyone who read Volumes 1-21 or seen the first 63 episodes, won't deny that "That" part of Bleach alone is by far some of the best Shonen around.
And yes, it had to due to Kubo's writing specifically the "Main Villain" revelation.

I was with you up until you mentioned the 63 episodes. I've never really cared for Bleach as an anime especially when they entered Soul Society. Part of it is because of the dub, and the other part comes from the fights just not being good. They didn't live up to my expectation from what I was getting from the manga. But yeah, I will admit that the manga version of those episodes were great. And I will also admit that the current stuff has been quite a let down since Hueco Mundo. (Too draggy, yeah we all know that) However, I never really thought it has reached the point of being bad (other than when Ichigo inc gets screen/panel time because I just find every single one of them either boring or annoying)

Am I the only one that don't like majority of the main characters in shonen? Few exceptions (Kenshin and Yusuke), but I just find them to be unappealing.

Like I said before, what keeps me interested is the anticipation of bankai's, and not to mention I like that the secondary characters are getting more exposure than the primary characters. (Again, I find them boring and annoying) I think this is the only shonen series to actually do that.

it did but soul eater at least the anime ended like a typical shonen.

As for bleach I'm up to where adult swim is so I haven't gotten to this bad part of bleach but, people I know who read warn me. I mean still no Urahara bankai? The anime should just end and come back like Inuyasha and finish the story.

Naruto and bleach have the same problem although I enjoy Naruto more but, they have great characters that don't do anything. Naruto doesn't use any character until they're about to die. Bleach just uses the new characters or the same ones's over and over again. You have 10 captains use them!

I think Kubo's relying too much on the bankais, or not really supplementing them well with other points of interest. Ichigo's bankai was cool in the day, and was one of his better moments when he fought Byakuya. But lately most of them are have been really bizarre or boring since the Espada started releasing.

I'm not the only one to notice this, that makes me feel better...since he keeps killing off favorite characters of mine.

Bleach is easily the weakest of the big 3 because it's just so boring and totally predictable. It follows every single shonen cliche to the extreme and then some. I thought it was fine up to around soul society, but once it became the same thing over and over again, I just tossed it aside. I read it every now and then when I'm bored, including the most recent stuff and I have to doubt anyone when they say they didn't see that coming a mile away.

It also might be me, but it almost seems like he doesn't really care about the story in any capacity.
