I skipped Blade Runner when it came out as it sounded boring in 1982.
I watched it for the first time in 1992 when Ridley Scott did the Directors Cut.
But I could not find it interesting.
The visuals are gorgeous and accompanied by the Vangelis music the opening minutes are almost hypnotic.
I got the 5 disc Bluray ( not out in the UK) to see if an alternate version would improve matters.
So I went for the cinema version as this was , after all , the version that gave the film its reputation.
But after 45 minutes I gave up.
I will give the "workprint" a go at some point but I fear it will be just as boring.
I was hoping the 5 disc Bluray would be deleted so I could sell it but its still available cheaper than the UK 2 disc Bluray.
The UK is ripped off again as the US set has all the alternate versions in HD
