The impression I got from the preview at NYCC was that they weren't aiming for full 30FPS animation in JRJR's style, but rather for the 21st Century equivalent of those 1960's Marvel cartoons where they moved around cutouts of Jack Kirby comics.
As I said in my report, if
The Secret Saturdays is what you would have gotten if Hanna-Barbera spent real money to animate
Jonny Quest, then what I saw of
Black Panther was what you'd have gotten if Marvel spent real money to do those 60's 'toons.
In any event, delayed again. I remember when this was supposed to be out LAST year. Oh, well.
On another, semi-related note, I would get worried about Joe Q's increased involvement in the animation arm that he talks about in that Cup O' Joe interview, expecting that might mean 1) crossovers for everyone, everywhere, 2) chase cover DVD cover variants, and 3) perpetually late DVD releases. However, his answer to "what are your increased responsibilities" is so vague as to be meaningless (something I've always thought Joe Q was exceptionally good at doing). Besides, Spidey is not married in the current version of the show, so no deals with the devil to get rid of THAT one
