Bizarre urban legends about cartoons

Yeah, I read about that on the Beavis & Butt-head wikipedia article. Turns out that kid, and some others accused of imitating the show, didn't have cable.

I heard it was done like that purposely, and that's why Mickey had a surprised expression on his face in that frame. Also, Donald calling Daffy the 'n' word.

The whole rumor is that 4kids knew about the franchise while the 26 episodes were still airing in 1996. But the fact is they only found out about it due to the more successful NAS series. Since NAS didn't have rights of the Toei series, they wouldn't even of had a chance to see the content, unless Takahashi let them see it.

Also, not really animation wise, but some say there was no TCG release of Takahashi's artwork of Dark Magician Girl because he didn't want Konami of America to censor it. This might be true, it might not, but Takahashi has not said anything about it.

Not really a cartoon, but I also remember this one first hand, although I never watched the show that it came from.

Steve from Blue's Clues was rumored to have died from a drug overdoes when he departed from the show, although the rumors were false.

And that itself gave birth to another urban legend, as some folks believe that Walt's ashes were spread over Disneyland. (That one's not true either, right?)

I think I heard an account from someone who claimed to have seen it mention they were pretty strict on not letting people tape it when they showed it. Here's said account:

Yeah, i remember hearing about supposed scenes including Sparkplug getting disembowled by buzzsaw, grimlock saying "me grimlock kick ", dirge getting smashed into pieces by prime, and of course, the infamous "prime turns into dust" scene back in the day.

That's pretty impressive that they have kept it on lockdown.

Everything makes it onto the internet these days no matter what and I was starting to doubt the legitimacy of said short because I had never seen proof of the cartoon.

He said Walt was bland. Considering that Walt preferred Mickey to Donald, I guess he's right. (Goody-Two-Shoes Mickey did have mischievous traits once, but then Walt transferred those to Donald and proceeded to make the poor duck's life hell).

The story behind it is that it's a mock storyboard that the writers did to relieve stress. Apparently, that specific one was passed around the office for quite a long time, and was several pages long. It started with Tommy trying to poison Angelica with Draino, but after a few pages it essentially turned into an extended graphic sex scene. Eventually, it got passed over to the Wild Thornberrys studio, where one of the guys working there reported it to the higher ups and that was the end of it.

That doesn't really make much since. Mickey and Minnie kiss each other all the time in the shorts.

EDIT: The "Disney Employee Makes a Porno" story, on the other hand, I'm not sure about. It would be hilarious if it were true, though.:p

Hence why we call it an urban myth. Walt may have been all about the family values and rather old fashioned by today's standards, but I have a hard time believing he was such a prude as to throw a tantrum over a peck on the cheek.

Another twist to that I've heard is that it wasn't actually made, but at lunch a recently hired Disney animator joked that they should do a porno and started acting out the voices. Roy Disney and the other studio heads happened to be sitting within earshot and when the animator returned to his office there was a pink slip on his desk.
