I didn't really dig this movie, I just went for the actors(Crudup, Ewan and Lohman together will always get my butt in a theater seat). They did a good job, though.
Neither did I. After a while, I was like 'holy crap, that's creepy'.
I loved this movie.
It has a great cast and a great story. Tim Burton did a great job.
As a Pearl Jam fan, I have to mention Pearl Jam's song "Man of the Hour", that we only listen in the ending credits.
It's a very beautiful movie.
You wouldn't beleive how much I cried at the end of the movie! It's been so long I haven't cried with a movie but this one was so touching and poetic I couldn't resist. I mean the message is so beautiful and so strong.
I love those scenes also. I wish I could have a guy like Edward. It was so sweet when that girl was about to kiss him and he goes " Im sorry but Im in love with my wife"
Wilbur (Age 10): Is it true she's got a glass eye? I heard she got it from the gypsies...
Young Don Price: What's a gypsy?
Ed Bloom (Age 10): Your momma's a gypsy.
Young Don Price: Your momma's a bitch.
I loved when he finally met the girl of his dreams and didn't let her engagement interfere with him winning her heart. I love how he promised not to fight and was all smiles after getting his a$$ kicked because he got the girl in the end. He looked gorgeous when he returned home from the war in his uniform.
Edward Bloom = Sweetest Guy EVER
The ending was so sad, but I loved it. Very sweet and magical.
I saw this film tonight and I have completly fallen in love with it. I was originally going to see it earlier in the week but it kept getting put off. I loved every moment of this film and the second I left the cinema I couldnt wait to see it again. I got home 3 hours ago but I havent stopped thinking about it. I wouldnt call myself a Tim Burton fan but I had seen Edward Scissorhands and Sleepy Hollow and enjoyed them. My motivation for seeing it was purely because I had heard that Steve Buscemi (my hero) was in it. He was great and everybody involved was fantastic. Ewan McGregor, the great Albert Finney, Jessica Lange, Helana Bonhem Carter, everyone! I cant say much more about this movie without repeating myself and babbling on so I'll just sum it all up and say that it was truly brilliant.
Big Fish was without a doubt the best movie have seen this year if not ever. It was absolutely brillant. We went to eat afterwards and every time I tried to talk about it I would just start crying. I loved all the stories within the story. The ending was just beautiful.
