Sasha- Thank you :D

The ending was a bit sad and to see most of those people that the father was talking about towards the ending of the movie was great. Made the son think more on some of the stories he was telling was true.

Does anyone know who the actor that played the giant is?

I love this scene where he is standing outside with all those flowers.

the ending was great. It's one of my favorites in a movie or a book.

Big Fish got a couple of Bafta nods. From what I can rememeber it got Best Film, Director, Supporting Actor, Special effects, and make-up
I hope that's a good sign for the Oscars.

I can't wait to see this movie, it opens here really soon. I've had the trailer on my PC for ages, and if it's got Tim Burton or Danny Elfman involved, then you can bet I'll like it.

Same here. :look: When people ask me, "Have you read this book?" I tend to reply, "I don't read."

It's been like a week and a half since I saw the movie and I was talking to a friend about it and my eyes teared up. I was telling her about the father/son dynamic of the movie and it just got to me all over again.

They had the author of the book on Public Television last night. I watched a little of it but not a whole lot. He talked about coming and staying on river as a child and trying to write and how horrible he was. Looks as he got over that.

hahahaha I loved that part!! This was such a great movie. It has been a long time since I've seen a movie that was so heart-felt and funny. Albert and Ewan stole the movie. I can't tell you how many times I have seen a clip for the scene with Jessica and Albert in the tub, but seeing it after you get into the storyline...brought me to tears. It was a love story combined with a story about fathers and sons. Even though there were some really quick scenes, they all went so well together. Everything flowed perfectly together: the acting, the dialouge, music and scenery. By the end of the movie, I was bawling like a baby. I couldn't talk about the movie for another hour after I came home.

He does? I havent read the book before. Actually I never even knew they had a book. I would have to admit, Im more of a watcher then a reader when it comes to movies based on books.

Hmm, I dunno. Maybe it's b/c I've seen this movie waaay too many times. I didn't think it was spectacular, but it wasn't bad. I read from the filmbill at work that it wasn't meant to look like a Tim Burton film so there goes my argument about the lack of gloss. I thought Burton handled it well, but could've been superb under Spielberg. Albert Finney, Buscemi, and Bonham-Carter were all superb. I also loved the Korean twins.

The movie was nice, it was cute

I find that if I have no expectations for a movie I end up liking it. But I had high expectations for BF cause I heard a lot of good things about it. And I ended up liking it.

If there's a thread like this please close this down

I really loved this movie, it was so sweet and funny, I loved it the whole way through.

I saw this one in theatres and really liked it. I thought the casting was PERFECT, great effects, etc. It was such an interesting, different story.

It may have helped going into the movie with no expectations and not even really knowing the storyline at the time :)

I love that scene. It was so funny the situations Edward was in while he was saying that
