There is two different threads on this sound problem......

But I just posted yesterday in the other one, it's still going on, I just got another receiver from bell, third one for this problem, ofcourse, it still does it. So I called back, I have a tech there that has taken on my case for me, so I have her email address there and she will be following up with me on monday, when a specialist that is off for a few days will be back... this guy is supposed to know about the other equipment, perhaps there is a setting somewhere that is common between us with the problems. I'm not really sure. They seem unclear themselves.

If they don't have any ideas on Monday, I'll be getting them to send me a brand new one. The only way they can guarantee it's brand new she told me is if a tech comes. I'd rather not have a tech come if I don't need too, but we'll see. I'll post an update after I get the next email with some information hopefully....

It's VERY annoying...

You are not alone! This is is my second 9241 due to complaints of audio fading 10 to 15 db within regular programming, GREATER DIFFERENCES DURING commercials. according to Bell they have never heard of this problem before.

It is always suggested the problem is my hook up. I did not hook it up. Bell did! I have checked it and had third party specialists also check it. It is all hooked up according to spec and delivering crap performance on audio.

A brief visit to the internet "loudly" states tha this is a wide spread problem. It has completely destroyed any pleasure I have ever had in watching television. I am totally defeated.

This new expense to improve my enjoyment is quite simply a comsumer rip off with not a leg of defense to stand on. Customer service basically is there to call me a liar.....and I pay money for this?

my 9241 is less then a week old ( got a retention deal so its free for the year). Just noticed the audio problem. I was watching the Nasty show on HBO.. ( stand up comedy) First volume was very low.. i usually watch tv with volume no higher then 7 on my 42" samsung plasma. I noticed the volume is very low so i cranked it to 10. i could then hear the voice fine. After 30-45 seconds its like someone cranked up the volume double what it was at. After watching the show for an hour it happens about once every 1 1/2 minutes.

After messing around with the setting i found that if i keep it on RF mode the volume still fluctuates but just slightly.. not as bad when its on Line mode. With line mode the Difference in sound levels is dramatic.
