Bi-Winning Jaters [J&K] #203: “I suppose it's fair to say that Kate&Jack do end up together. Jaters, you win”-FilmFodder

Yeah :erabarrassment:

I think my logic was kinda like this:

1) Dementors create fog
2) Their chemistry is so steamy is that even the strongest defogger (aka Patronus) won´t work.

He made his way quickly to her side of the car, opening the door for her, earning an appreciative smile for his effort. No man had ever opened the door for Kate before, so she always felt a blush creep to her face when he did such things. She took his hand, getting out of the Bronco, pretending to be unearthly relieved to be out of his truck. he nudged her shoulder playfully and wrapped her fingers through his.

They walked hand in hand towarRAB the main hall of the country club, where the celebrations were holding place. Once they made it closer to the front door, the huge posters and banners came to view; slogans and taglines talking about the O6, and Kate felt an uncontrollable shudder run through her body.

"are you ok?" Jack asked worriedly.

"yeah... it's just.. how much longer are we going to keep doing this things, Jack?" Kate asked, tired of the media attention and the weight of the lies they have to continue spreading.

Jack smiled sadly, "not too long, I hope. Our moment in the limelight will soon fade. they will forget us soon enough and move on to the next big thing before you know," he said, squeezing her hand supportively.

She always did and now she always will. For eternity.

You could see the difference so clearly. Like during the break-up in SNBH, Kate tells Jack that doing a favour for Sawyer and keeping it quiet has nothing to do with them. And it doesn't, although for Jack it's the straw that breaks the camel's back because he's already so tormented at that point. Kate's anger with Jack wasn't because she was longing for Sawyer. Otherwise she'd have been thrilled that he'd left, would have thrown out all reminders of him and would have legged it back to the island just as soon as Locke begged her to.

But she never tried to reassure Sawyer at all. Sawyer knew how Kate felt about Jack and he knew he was being used. And Kate never denied it. She never turned round and told him that anything relating to Jack had nothing to do with them. She knew that Sawyer knew she was in love with Jack and she really didn't care how Sawyer felt about it.
