Bf interested in Japanese culture? (black) weird post =P sorry?

Hi, I'm born and raised in the USA with a culture of mostly Thai, some Filipino, and then very little Chinese influence. My bf is black (just informing lol) and he's very very interested in Asian culture particularly Japanese culture...now keep in mind he doesn't have a thing for Asian girls he likes all types of girls. He's always had interest in Japanese culture but recently he's very into it: learning Japanese, japanese art, japanese food...

It kinda bothers me b/c we're very serious couple (over 3 1/2 years) I wonder if he'll try to make our kids (if we have any) learn Japanese culture rather than my Asian culture just because he thinks it's COOL. Is that a problem? I like Japanese culture too but I guess I'm a bit jealous he finds it the best of all Asian cultures..
He was interested in China but not as much as Japan..I think he thinks my Filipino part of the culture is kinda boring lol

Thai=decent he likes the food lol
 
lol I have a German husband the same way (I'm Filipina). I was bothered by it for a while but not anymore. When I was pregnant he wanted to call my son a Japanese name like Tobimora. lol his sister and me both told him heck no! When you guys start talking about kids just make it clear that you want them to learn your culture and not get them confused with to many things.
 
Other cultures are cool, I think he is just saying he is interested in Japanese culture in general. I mean, look at all of the technologies they provide? Yeah I would like to learn more about China, but they are the communists, you seem to forget. Until they improve their human rights I really don't care.
