Saving Private Ryan - especially for the opening beach sequence
Stalingrad - as gritty and real as it gets
The Pianist - Amazing true story, better than Schindlers list at showing what happened to the Jews under the Nazis
Das Boot - enthralling and different seeing it from the 'enemy' perspective.
Galipolli - Great 1st world war film
Platoon - brilliant from start to finish
Great escape - just a great film
