Best Onscreen Friendship

As others have mentioned, the friendships in LOTR. They're truly touching.

J & K from Men in Black. I love Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith, and whoever had the idea to pair them up was spot on. I love how different the characters are and how they clash.

Jack, Will and Elizabeth from Pirates of the Caribbean. At first I was only going to list Jack & Will, but I felt like I should add Elizabeth too. They're definitely a trio.

I love Carter and Lee from Rush Hour, in a short time they became close and trusted each other with their lives.

I agree with Frodo and Sam. The whole fellowship was strong, but those two were paramount.

I also like the friendship between Adrian Brody and Milla Jovovich (sp?) in Dummy. It's kinda odd, but it's good underneath the crazy exterior.

And of course, Harry and Sally in When Harry Met Sally. :sigh:

Yeah, I'd have to go with what Sushi, Star Dreamer, and pACEy28 said, plus Jay and Silent Bob, and the film guy and the little boy in Cinema Paradiso.

But my all time favorite would be Damiel and Cassiel in Wings of Desire.

This movie wasn't really that popular, but I really enjoyed the first..like...20 minutes of 'crazy/beautiful' with Kirsten Dunst and Taryn Manning. They seemed like great friends and I though Kirsten acted better than she usually does at that part. That whole beginning is my favorite part of the movie.

:D love that one I agree!

Ben Affleck & Matt Damon- good will hunting, dogma

The fellowship especially the four hobbits- Lord of the rings

Hitch & Albert in Hitch, they are by far my fav. movie friendship now, I just loved them! And of course everyone in the Fellowship in all the LOTR's movies, especially the 4 Hobbits will always be a fav! Gotta love Frodo/Sam/Merry/Pippin, Frodo/Sam, Merry/Pippin, Aragorn/Legolas, Legolas/Gimly, Gandolf/Fellowship, they all just rocked!

Forest and Lt. Dane in Forest Gump. The respect turned friendship relationship built through the years of watching each other's back was very real and touching. From Forest saving the Lt. in Vietnam to the Lt. not swindling Forest (who is a person who can easily be deceived) of what's rightfully his (Bubba Gump money and investments), show the foundation of a really strong friendship.

I want to add Chewbacca & Han Solo to my list

and Quoiser (sp?) and Clairee from Steel Magnolias. They are so mean to each other, but it's out of love. And I love when Quoiser says. "You are a pig from hell".

I just finished watching Toy Story, and i forgot how great the friendship between Buzz and Woody was. Which was expanded even more throughout Toy Story 2.

Stand By Me - Chris, Gordie, Vern and Teddy's friendship.
The Crow - Eric and Sarah's friendship.
Philadelphia- Andrew and Jo's friendship.

I think it would have to be the entire Fellowship in Lord of the Rings, spotlight on Merry and Pippin, and Frodo and Sam.

I  the friendship between hilary duff and her best friend (i dont know his really name) in Cinderella story as once again he isnt the goofy friend lusting after his bessie mate they are just friends that support each other.

I also love the friendship between the empire records gang its just great !!

Of course pipin and merry too :)

The girls in Now and Then have the best kind of friendship. It's so innocent, and they are so protective of each other. Real true friends.

Also Vada and Thomas J in My Girl

and totally agree with Pirates Of Carribean

Toto and Alfredo in Cinema Paradiso.

Amazing how two people that are generations apart were able to form a bond.

2 of my favorite onscreen freindships.....

emile hirsch and the chicken in 'the mudge boy'

and

tom hanks and wilson in 'castaway'
